  • Do you accept clients under the age of 18 with parental consent?
Unfortunately, I have decided that at this time I will not accept any clients under 18, even with parental consent. This may be something I adjust in the future but for now I will only perform services on clients 18+.
  • Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Yes, especially if it helps you to relax or distracts you from any discomfort!
  • How do I book an appointment?
Caroline accepts all online booking requests through Vagaro. During the booking, you will be asked to complete a few forms. One of the forms will allow you to complete design information, location and size. Jess currently accepts online booking but has a preference to have clients reach out to her directly before booking through Instagram DM. Her Instagram account is @jessbloomtattoo. From there she will manually book your appointment. Kylie currently accepts bookings that reach out to her directly through Instagram DM @rubyroadrash. Lauren will be accepting clients soon!
  • Are you currently taking appointments?
Yes! Books are currently open for all of our artists.
  • What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We understand that sometimes plans change and life happens. If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can open up the slot for another client. We kindly ask for at least 24 hour notice to cancel your appointment.
  • Is there a waitlist in case I miss the booking window?
Yes, we do keep a waitlist for clients who are interested in booking an appointment outside of our booking window. If you would like to be added to our waitlist, you may do so through our Vagaro booking page.
  • What is a fine line tattoo?
A fine line tattoo is a tattoo that is created using thin, delicate lines. Fine line tattoos can be simple or intricate, and are often used to create delicate designs such as flowers or lettering.
  • Are fine line tattoos more painful than traditional tattoos?
The pain level of a tattoo depends on the individual's pain tolerance and the location of the tattoo. However, since fine line tattoos use thinner needles, they are often less painful than traditional tattoos.
  • How long will my fine line tattoo appointment take?
The time to perform a fine line tattoo varies greatly based on the design complexity and the sizing. You may think that because the size of the tattoo is smaller that the appointment will be faster than a traditional tattoo, however, because there is so little room for error when doing a fine line tattoo I often move much slower and more delicately. On average, most appointments take between an hour to an hour and a half for a simple design and up to 4-5 hours for a more complex design (such as a detailed floral piece).
  • How long do fine line tattoos take to heal?
Fine line tattoos typically take about 3-4 weeks to heal completely. During the healing process, it is important to keep the tattoo clean, moisturized and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
  • Can you tattoo any part of my body? Are there any parts of the body you will not tattoo?
Fine line tattoos can be done on most parts of the body, but there are a few areas that I will not tattoo, including the face. Because fine line work leaves very little room for error, I am selective and will always be honest with a client if I feel I cannot do a tattoo in a specific area of the body that will not heal perfectly.
  • Do Fine Line Tattoos require touch-ups?
More difficult to tattoo areas, such as the fingers may require a touch-up appointment. Fingers can "blow out" the ink (where it becomes thick and blurred during healing) very easily, so to avoid this I make sure I keep a very light touch while tattooing fingers. This means that a follow up appointment may be necessary to deposit more ink, while still keeping the lines thin. I include one free touch up for tattoos within the first 8 weeks. Additional touch-ups, if needed, will be an additional cost billed at an hourly rate of $150.
  • Will you draw a custom tattoo design for me?
Absolutely! I love working on custom designs and love hearing all of my clients wonderful ideas for their body art! When my booking window is open, you will submit a description of what you would like your design to include and any inspiration images with your request. I typically work on designs for clients the week before and week of my appointments because that is when my time allows. If your design is complex or requires me to go back to you with any questions I will absolutely send you examples of your design earlier so we can collaborate back and forth and make any changes before your appointment.
  • Do you do handwriting tattoos?
Yes! They are one of my favorite things to tattoo! When you submit your booking request, please include a photo of the paper/card/etc that has the handwriting you would like tattooed so I can create a custom stencil for you for the day of your appointment. You do not need to bring a physical copy of the handwriting with you to the appointment unless I have any questions and in that case I will reach out to you directly to request that.
  • Can I use numbing cream before my appointment?
Whether or not to use numbing cream before a tattoo appointment is a personal decision that varies from person to person. Numbing cream can help reduce the pain and discomfort associated with getting a tattoo, but it can also affect the quality of the tattoo and make it harder for the artist to work because the cream can cause the skin to swell, making it harder for the artist to see the lines and details of the design. This can lead to a lower quality tattoo, as the artist may not be able to achieve the same level of precision and detail as they would without the numbing cream. In addition, some numbing creams can affect the healing process of the tattoo. The cream may cause the skin to become more fragile, making it more prone to bleeding and scabbing. This can prolong the healing process and increase the risk of infection. If you do decide to use numbing cream, be sure to follow the instructions carefully and apply it only to the areas where the tattoo will be placed. Ultimately, the decision to use numbing cream is up to you and should be based on your individual pain tolerance and preferences.
  • What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup for the eyebrows. It involves using a hand-held tool with fine needles to create hair-like strokes that mimic the natural brow hairs.
  • How long does Microblading last?
Microblading typically lasts between 1-1.5 years, depending on factors such as skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle. I recommend coming for yearly touch-up appointments to keep your eyebrows looking their best.
  • Is Microblading Painful?
Most clients report feeling some discomfort during the procedure, but we use two rounds of numbing cream to help minimize any pain. Typically, if you feel any discomfort at all it will only be at the beginning of the process and then after the secondary numbing you will feel very little (to no) pain at all.
  • How long does the Microblading procedure take?
The initial microblading appointment typically takes between 1.5-2 hours, including a consultation and numbing time. A touch-up appointment is required 4-6 weeks later and usually takes around 1-2 hours.
  • What is the aftercare like for Microblading?
Aftercare is extremely important for the longevity and appearance of your microbladed brows. It includes avoiding water, sun exposure, and certain skincare products (such as retinols) for a period of time after the procedure. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to all of our clients.
  • How do I know if Microblading is right for me?
Microblading is a great option for anyone looking to enhance their eyebrows or fill in gaps in their natural brows. However, it is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, anyone with a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring, or those with certain skin conditions.
